Let Our Team Fight For You. Schafer & Schafer, LLP stands up for the rights of injured workers and their families.

Our Team

The firm opened up in 2008 in Bridgeport, CT as a general practice as the Law Offices of Timothy M. Schafer. The practice quickly took on a concentration in workers' compensation and, based on professional recommendations, was asked to take over a larger firm's workers' compensation practice in Stamford, CT.

In light of this the office was moved to Stamford in 2009, where we currently operate, and have continued to grow the practice in the areas of workers' compensation law, personal injury law, juvenile law, and trusts and estates law. In 2010 the firm was nominated and recognized by the Super Lawyers publication as a "Rising Star" in the legal profession.

In 2014, yet another workers' compensation practice was taken over by Schafer & Schafer, LLP's attorneys. The law firm acquired The Law Office of B.T. Canty, Esq., PC, which only strengthened the firm's legal team by bringing a board-certified workers' compensation specialist on board. The acquisition also expanded the firm in other ways.

In addition to their strides in the field of workers' compensation, some of Schafer & Schafer, LLP's attorneys have also been recognized for their work in Connecticut's juvenile court system. Members of the bar and the bench who work in the Danbury juvenile court program recommended the firm for pro bono services to Child Advocates of Connecticut (an advocacy group for abused and neglected children), which ultimately contacted the firm for legal counseling.
